OVERVIEW

This frame-off-restored second-series 1955 Chevrolet 3100 big-window pickup is powered by a 350cid V8 crate engine backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a shaved hood, shaved emblems, a wood bed floor with stainless strips, custom wheels, a rear roll pan with LED taillights, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and air conditioning. Additional features include a tilt steering column, power front disc brakes, power steering, and a late-model GM independent front suspension. Finished in Burgundy over a cream vinyl interior, this "Task Force" 3100 comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the frame-off restoration, the body was refinished in Burgundy. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, shaved hood and body emblems, a power antenna, a big rear window, a driver-side mirror, a short stepside bed with a wood floor, a smooth tailgate with hidden latches, and a rear roll pan with custom LED taillights.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of polished 15-inch five-spoke wheels is wrapped in 215/70R15 front and 255/70R15 rear BFGoodrich radial tires. 

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The bench seat and door panels are upholstered in cream vinyl. Features include manual windows, power steering, a tilt steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a three-spoke steering wheel with a body-color rim, air conditioning, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and body-color trim.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The white-faced AutoMeter analog gauges located in a custom panel ahead of the driver include a 120-mph speedometer and readouts for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The odometer reads 8,698 miles, which reflects the mileage since the restoration was completed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 350cid V8 crate engine and backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include aluminum valve covers, an oval aluminum air cleaner, aluminum pulley covers, a chrome alternator, and a body-color firewall and inner fenders. A safety inspection was recently completed.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The chassis has been modified to accept a late-model GM independent front suspension assembly. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the sides through custom running board flares.
