383-POWERED 1969 CHEVROLET C10

OVERVIEW

This 1969 Chevrolet C10 has been with the seller since 2015. It is powered by a Chevrolet 383cid stroker V8 backed by a 700R4 Raptor four-speed automatic transmission. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

In 2017, the body was finished in Corvette Racing Yellow. Features include a chrome front bumper and grille, a cowl-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, a short Fleetside pickup box, a smooth tailgate, a new black vinyl tonneau cover, and a rear roll pan. The seller states that all of the exterior glass has been replaced; one-piece window glass has been installed. 

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of black slotted six-lug steel wheels is wrapped in Hankook front and Mickey Thompson rear tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The new pair of bucket seats are upholstered in black cloth. Features include black door panels with power windows, a billet steering wheel with a wood rim, a fold-down center armrest, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and a digital AM/FM/CD stereo. The seller states that this C10 is not equipped with heat or air conditioning.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of new AutoMeter gauges including a 160-mph speedometer, a 10,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, oil temperature, and transmission temperature are located ahead of the driver. With 300 miles added during the seller's eight-year ownership, the odometer reads 300 miles, but the actual mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a Chevrolet 383cid stroker V8 equipped with forged Eagle internals and backed by a 700R4 Raptor four-speed automatic transmission with a 4,500-rpm-stall torque converter designed for 1,000 horsepower. Engine bay features include polished aluminum valve covers, a Holley 750-cfm Double Pumper carburetor, a chrome air cleaner housing, a serpentine belt engine accessory drive system, an aluminum intake manifold, an aluminum radiator, and a firewall-mounted heater block-off plate. The seller states that after the engine was broken in, the oil, oil filter, air cleaner, and spark plugs were replaced.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This C10 is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with 4.56:1 gears and Positraction. Braking is power-assisted. A dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear wheels.
