EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The body has been refinished in metallic teal. Features include body-color bumpers, a black grille, a lift-off race-weight teardrop fiberglass hood that is attached with Dzus fasteners, dual mirrors, body-color trim, and body-color taillight housings. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 514cid big-block stroker V8 connected to a NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems) Pro-Shot Fogger system and a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission with a transbrake. Engine features include Edelbrock aluminum heads, Ford Racing aluminum valve covers, a mild camshaft, an aluminum intake manifold, an MSD distributor and coil, a four-barrel carburetor, and a K&N air filter. UNDERCARRIAGE
This Fairlane is equipped with an independent Mustang II-style front suspension assembly, manual rack-and-pinion steering, and a narrowed Ford nine-inch solid rear drive axle mounted with mono leaf springs and bolt-on tubular traction bars. Braking is provided by manual Wilwood 10.5-inch drilled disc brakes with line lock. A dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear axle.
