OVERVIEW
This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was restored in its original color combination and comes with a fresh interior along with a rebuilt, date-correct powertrain. Power comes from a 351cid Windsor V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a newer audio system, a center console, Cooper Cobra tires, power brakes, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in Competition Yellow with black accents over a black vinyl interior, this Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The Competition Yellow (code D) exterior was refinished under prior ownership and features black accent striping, chrome bumpers, a hood scoop, sport mirror caps, rocker moldings, Mach 1 decals, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Steel 14-inch wheels with polished trim rings are wrapped in 225/70 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The 2+2 interior has been redone from top to bottom and is furnished with black vinyl high-back bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching materials for the door panels, dash, center console, headliner, and carpeting. Amenities include lap belts, a clock, Mach 1 badging, and a new stereo system that was installed by the selling dealer.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation is housed within a woodgrain bezel and includes a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, alternator, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 18,594 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The reportedly date-correct 351cid Windsor V8 was rebuilt within the last 100 miles and features a chrome-finished air cleaner as well as chrome valve covers. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a rebuilt console-shifted three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Braking is power-assisted.

@Barrett-FL – Do all systems/components (i.e., A/C, clock, lights, instruments etc.) work as they should? Has there been any rust repair performed? Has this vehicle been in a collision? Was it refinished in the original factory color? Are there photos available for the underside showing the engine, suspension, transmission, exhaust, floor pans and torque boxes etc.? Thank you! ...
Yes, this is the factory color combination. All dials on the dash work as expected excluding the factory clock. The air condition blows, but not cold. It likely just needs to be serviced. We installed new floorboards on both the passenger and drivers side. It does not have a collision history. I will upload undercarriage photos.
