Vehicle Story

This 2001 Plymouth Prowler is a one-owner, 33k-mile example finished in Prowler orange pearl coat and accompanied by a matching trailer. Power is provided by a 3.5-liter V6 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. Interior features include Agate leather and Kenwood speakers, and new staggered-width Continental tires are found at all four corners. OEM covers for the car and trailer, an OBD meter, miscellaneous parts, a battery tender, and more are included. One of approximately 3,150 produced in 2001, this roadster is offered with 20 years of service records and a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

The mostly aluminum exterior is finished in Prowler orange pearl coat with a black soft top, and the car has been garaged from new. Factory five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in new 225/45 HR17 front and 295/40 HR20 rear Continental Extreme Contact tires and wear remanufactured center caps. Mudflaps are also fitted.

Prowler trailers were produced to make up for the vehicle's limited trunk space and were a $5k dealer option. This unit was acquired new from an Illinois dealer in 2002. Its finish mirrors the car, and 15" matching wheels wear 215/60 Goodyear Eagle GTII tires. It is equipped with a shortened powder-coated tongue, a SkinTight bra and has been used sparingly.

The interior is trimmed in Agate leather, and amenities include power windows and locks, keyless entry, dual airbags, air conditioning, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, a center console with a single cup holder, and more. Trunk space is very limited.

A color-keyed instrument panel bezel is painted to match the exterior color, a digital odometer showing 33,258 miles, full instrumentation, and speed-sensitive volume control are featured. A factory AM/FM stereo with a multi-disc CD changer is paired with Kenwood door speakers.

Power comes from a 3.5-liter SOHC V6 that sends thrust to the rear wheels through a 4-speed "Autostick" automatic transmission with manual shift mode located at the rear of the vehicle. The car is equipped with transmission speed sensors, and the battery was replaced at 29.9k miles. Miscellaneous engine parts will go with the car, including two coil-over plug assemblies, an oil pressure sending unit, and two sets of transmission sensors.

11" vented discs in front and 13" in the rear were fitted at the factory, and the seller added a receiver hitch in the back to handle the towing duties.

A service manual and invoices, OBD meter, battery tender, CD changer, covers for the car and trailer, trailer bra and hitch, miscellaneous engine parts, hood/trunk prop rod, two-vehicle keys with remotes, one valet key, and two trailer keys will go with the car. The CARFAX report notes an ownership change in 2013 when the vehicle was relocated to Florida. However, it has been owned by the seller since new.

@hesleysj – When you lived up north, you never drove it on wet streets in the winter correct? ...

That is correct. For its first eight years, the car sat in a climate controlled attached garage with its jammies on for about seven months a year. I wouldn’t bring it out until after the spring rains would clear the roads of the sand and salt residue. After that time, I relocated to Sunny Florida! No snow! No ice! No salt!
