OVERVIEW

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible made to commemorate the 51st annual Indianapolis 500 is powered by a 396cid V8 backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a Pace Car appearance package and RS hideaway headlights, taillights, and reverse lights. Additional features include a Delco AM radio, a center console with Rally gauges, a sport steering wheel, and power brakes. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The Ermine White (code C) exterior features chrome bumpers with bumper guards, blue D90 nose striping, an RS grille with hideaway headlights, a front chin spoiler, an SS hood, SS emblems, blue accent stripes, a Pace Car decal package, wheel opening and rocker moldings, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, a power-folding white convertible top, a black taillight panel, and RS taillights and reverse lights.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 14-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels with button hubcaps and trim rings is wrapped in redline bias-ply tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in bright blue vinyl. Features include manual windows, deluxe blue vinyl door panels, a tilt steering column, a sport steering wheel with a wood rim, a center console-mounted three-speed automatic transmission shifter, a Delco AM radio, and blue trim.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and factory center console-mounted Rally gauges with readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery, and time. The odometer reads 96,931 miles, but the actual mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 4N-code 396cid V8 and backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. When new, the engine produced 325 horsepower. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner housing.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Camaro was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Stopping is performed by power brakes. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
