OVERVIEW
This frame-off-restored custom 1958 Chevrolet 3100 is powered by a 350cid V8 backed by a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include a four-wheel-drive conversion, a four-inch lift, a power tilting front hood assembly, a wood bed floor, a tilt steering column, air conditioning, hydroboost power brakes, and power steering. Finished in cream over a gray vinyl interior, this Chevrolet comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the frame-off restoration, the body was finished in cream. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, a power tilting hood assembly, dual mirrors, a cab-mounted fuel filler, a short stepside pickup box with a wood bed floor, and custom tail lights.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of chrome steel wheels with baby moon hubcaps and manual locking front hubs is wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat is upholstered in distressed-look gray vinyl. Features include manual windows, cream door panels, a tilt steering column, floor-mounted manual transmission and transfer case shifters, a vintage-look radio, a black vinyl headliner, and gray metal trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 3,017 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350cid V8 and backed by a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Engine bay features include aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a chrome alternator, a chrome air cleaner housing, block-hugger tubular headers with a high-temperature coating, and a yellow engine block.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The powder-coated frame has been modified to accept a part-time four-wheel-drive conversion. A four-inch lift and dual Pro Comp ES2000 steering stabilizers have been installed. Braking is provided by hydroboost power four-wheel drums. A dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear tires.
