Vehicle Story

This 2003 Chevrolet Corvette convertible 50th Anniversary Edition has just under 29k actual miles and is powered by an LS1 5.7L V8 with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Anniversary Edition Red with a tan cloth soft top over a shale leather interior, the car was originally sold in New Jersey and later resided in both Maryland and Pennsylvania before being relocated to Florida beginning in 2011.  Equipment includes an electronic driver information center, head-up display, and independent suspension with active handling.  Located in The Villages, Florida, this C5 Corvette is now offered with a clean CARFAX report on a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in 50th Anniversary Red and has badges on each front fender designating its special edition.  The retractable tan soft top is power-operated, and it has a heated rear window glass.  The front end has signature C5 pop-up headlamps, and there are factory fog lamps fitted within the front bumper.  Body side moldings are finished to match, and special 50th Anniversary badging is found on the hood, fenders, and trunk lid.

Factory 17” 5-spoke aluminum wheels are finished in champagne gold and mounted to new Uniroyal Tiger Paw 245/45 all-season tires up front and 275/40 tires in the rear.  Equipped with the active handling and a traction control system, the suspension is independent on all four corners, and the car has anti-lock disc brakes both front and rear with a power speed-sensitive rack and pinion steering.  As part of the 50th Anniversary package, the car also came equipped with magnetic selective ride control.

The interior is configured in the 50th Anniversary Shale color scheme with tan carpeting and shale-colored bucket seats with a matching center console.  The seats are five-way adjustable, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel is manually adjustable.  A Bose stereo and speakers were factory equipped, as well as dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, intermittent wipers.  Additional features include power door locks and windows, a head-up display, and a twilight sentinel.

Instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and accompanying gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure.  The car also has a driver information center.  The digital odometer reads 28k miles, which are original to the vehicle.

The fuel-injected LS1 5.7-liter V8 is original to the vehicle and was factory rated at 350 horsepower.  Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record.  The original MSRP was $55,895 including destination, and the original window sticker is included with the sale, as well as the factory literature and 2 keys.
