OVERVIEW
This 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS has been driven 10,368 miles since new and is equipped with T-tops and 35th Anniversary features such as unique badging, 17-inch wheels, anodized brake calipers, a Monsoon 500-watt audio system, and accent stripes. It is powered by an unmodified LS1 5.7-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Finished in Bright Rally Red with silver accent striping over a two-tone Ebony and Pewter leather interior, this fourth-generation Camaro is now offered with service records, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The Bright Rally Red exterior is accented with the 35th Anniversary Appearance Package's silver stripes. Exterior features include fog lamps, a hood scoop, removable T-tops, special badging, an integrated rear spoiler, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
The 17-inch split-spoke wheels with black pockets and machined lips are wrapped in Goodyear tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The 2+2 interior is fitted with two-tone Ebony and Pewter leather bucket seats with 35th Anniversary embroidery up front, dual Ebony and Pewter leather seats in the back, and coordinating door panels, dash, and carpeting. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver's seat, power windows, power locks, a power hatch release, remote keyless entry, a Monsoon 500-watt AM/FM/CD stereo, cruise control, air conditioning, and embroidered floor mats. According to the seller, the driver-side visor does not stay up.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 155-mph speedometer, 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 10,368 miles, which is in line with the most recent mileage figure of 9,797 miles logged on the CARFAX report in January 2022.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The LS1 5.7-liter V8 was rated at 325 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque when new. The oxygen sensors and catalytic converter were replaced in 2022. The CARFAX report shows that the coolant was changed in 2021, the same year the secondary air injection system's relay and pump were replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
SS models were outfitted with a front stabilizer bar and distinct springs and bushings. Stopping power comes from four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes; the CARFAX states that the brake fluid was changed in 2021 within the last 1,000 miles.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This Camaro was previously sold on AutoHunter, but it is being relisted at a lower reserve price than before because the buyer backed out of the transaction. This was not due to any fault with the car. The CARFAX report shows no history of accidents or damage. A California emissions inspection was completed in January 2022. Service records will come with the purchase of the car.
