OVERVIEW

This 2006 BMW M5 performance sedan has been driven 28,300 miles since new and draws power from an S85 5.0-liter V10 paired with a seven-speed sequential automatic gearbox. It received service in January and has been upgraded with powder-coated 19-inch wheels and black badging. Features include iDrive infotainment, a Harman Kardon audio system, walnut trim, and ventilated disc brakes. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The Silver Gray (code A08) body has paint protection film on the leading edge of the hood. Exterior features include adaptive xenon headlights with washers, a sunroof, vented front fenders, black window trim, a lip spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. The front kidney grilles and the rear M5 badge have been replaced with black units; the uninstalled factory originals are included with the sale. There are blemishes near the driver-side rear wheel and on the trunk lid.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Black powder-coated 19-inch Style 166 wheels are wrapped in 255/40 front and 285/35 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that were installed in 2016.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior is fitted with heated and power-adjustable Black Merino leather bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching materials for the door panels, dash, center console and carpeting. Amenities include walnut woodgrain trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, keyless entry, cruise control, a Harman Kardon six-CD audio system, iDrive with navigation, rear sun shades, and a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel. There is some creasing shown in the driver's seat.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer, a 9,000-rpm variable-redline tachometer, and accompanying gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 28,300 miles, which the seller states is a true reading. The CARFAX report shows a mileage figure of 27,841 miles was logged in January 2023.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The S85 5.0-liter V10 was rated at 500 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque when new and uses a semi-dry-sump lubrication system and double-VANOS variable valve timing. An oil change and a multi-point inspection were completed at BMW of San Antonio in January 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted and paddle-shifted seven-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) automatic transmission and an M Variable differential.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping power comes from cross-drilled and ventilated anti-lock disc brakes. Handing is assisted by Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
