OVERVIEW

This restored 1965 Ford Mustang convertible is powered by a rebuilt 289cid V8 backed by a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include Vintage Air climate controls, a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, front and rear coilovers, power front disc brakes, and power steering. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration, the body was finished in Charcoal Gray and a clear coat, then fitted with new chrome trim. Features include chrome bumpers, GT fog lights, a fender-mounted antenna, dual rearview mirrors, a new black canvas convertible top, and Mustang GT-style rear valance-exit exhaust outlets.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of new chrome styled steel wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats and the rear seat have been reupholstered in ivory "Pony" vinyl. Features include deluxe white vinyl door panels with manual windows, a custom center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and power steering. The Vintage Air air conditioning system is equipped with a modern compressor and a new dryer, condenser, and under-dash unit. The selling dealer states that the rubber seals and the tack strip were replaced.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 2,500 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a rebuilt, non-original 289cid V8 and backed by a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include finned aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a chrome air cleaner housing, and shaved factory shock towers.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Mustang is equipped with a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, a solid rear drive axle, and front and rear coilovers. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. The selling dealer states that the floors and undercarriage were sandblasted and professionally refinished. Additionally, a new fuel tank has been installed.
