OVERVIEW
This custom 2008 Grandeur Cycle softail motorcycle is a reportedly $96,000+ build made for the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. It is powered by a Total Performance Engineering 121cid V-twin engine mated to a Baker right-side-drive six-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch actuator. Features include a custom Harris Leather seat, custom Joker and Grandeur handle controls with rifle levers, and smoothie foot controls. The custom softail frame has hidden shocks, a four-inch backbone stretch, a 38-degree neck angle, three-degree trees, and a two-degree-extended swing arm drop. Finished in black with custom graphics and furnished with a tan leather and black suede seat, this custom motorcycle comes from the selling dealer with a certificate of authenticity and a clear title.
FEATURES
The fuel tank, integrated oil tank, and fenders are finished in black with custom accent graphics. A walk-around video can be seen below.
WHEELS AND TIRES
The front 21” x 3.15” polished billet aluminum wheel is wrapped in a 120/70-21 Avon radial tire. The rear 18” x 10.5” polished aluminum wheel is equipped with a custom-designed 300/35-18 Avon radial tire.
SEATING AND CONTROLS
The hand-tooled tan leather seat with a black suede insert was custom-made by Harris Leather. Joker and Grandeur hand controls with rifle levers and smoothie foot controls have been installed.
GAUGES
A digital gauge with a chrome bullet cover is mounted to the engine. The digital odometer reads 9,850 miles, but the true mileage on this motorcycle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a Total Performance Engineering 121cid V-twin engine mated to a polished Baker right-side-drive six-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch actuator. Engine features include a 4.125-inch bore, a 4.5-inch stroke, a .650-inch-lift Crane camshaft, 48-millimeter Mikuni heads, Edelbrock pistons, Ferrea valves, and a K&N air cleaner. Exhaust exits through a Vance & Hines right-side stainless steel exhaust system. Transmission features include a 2.94 first, 2.12 second, 1.60 third, 1.24 fourth, 1.00 fifth, and .86 sixth gear; a chrome three-inch open primary drive belt with a Grandeur custom auto clutch cover; and a Grandeur belt guard.
SUSPENSION AND BRAKES
The custom-built frame is finished in black and equipped with hidden shocks, a four-inch backbone stretch, a 38-degree neck angle, three-degree trees, and a two-degree-extended swing arm drop. Braking is provided by dual front and single rear 11.5-inch polished stainless steel floating rotors with HHI chromed and polished calipers.
