OVERVIEW
This 1956 Ford F-250 pickup has accrued fewer than 700 miles since a frame-off restoration in 2019 during which it received shaved door handles, a 2.5-inch-chopped top, and the engine, transmission, and rear end from a 37,000-mile 2001 Ford Crown Victoria P71. Power comes from a Police Interceptor 4.6-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip rear end. Upgraded equipment includes Vintage Air climate control, four-wheel disc brakes, power windows, a Boss audio system, and late-model Ford Mustang wheels. Finished in two-tone silver and orange over a black leather Chevrolet Impala interior, this restomod pickup is now offered with a wiring manual, instruction sheets, manuals, and a clear title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
According to the seller, only the cab is from the original pickup. The two-tone silver and orange Deltron exterior finish was applied during the complete 2019 restoration and is dressed with painted-on purple and orange accent striping. The body was customized at the time with shaved door handles, a 2.5-inch top chop, a MAR-K custom tailgate, and wooden planks in the bed along with stainless steel hardware. There are small blemishes noted on a corner of the cab, the passenger-side front fender, and the running boards, as well as light rust in a corner of the bed as shown in the photos to the right.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
The aluminum five-spoke wheels were sourced from a Ford Mustang and are wrapped in Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 tires that have accrued fewer than 700 miles since being installed in 2019.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The overhauled interior of the cab is furnished with late-model power-adjustable black leather bucket seats that were sourced from a Chevrolet Impala LTZ, matched to the door panels, lower dash, steering wheel, headliner, carpeting, and embroidered floor mats. A custom center console has been added. Features include a Boss BV9560B touchscreen audio system with four speakers, power windows, Vintage Air Gen II ComPac climate control, a tilt steering column, cruise control, power steering, Steel Works billet aluminum switch panels, tinted windows, and keyless door poppers with integrated back-up mechanical releases.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Dakota Digital instruments have replaced the factory units and include a speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The odometer shows 672 miles, but the actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 4.6-liter V8, four-speed automatic transmission, and 3.08:1 limited-slip rear end were sourced from a 37,000-mile 2001 Ford Crown Victoria P71 and installed during the restoration in 2019. Service includes an oil change, the installation of a K&N air intake, and the replacement of the transmission filter. Power is sent to the rear wheels with the help of a Dakota Digital GSS-2000 universal gear shift sending unit.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping comes from the 2001 Crown Victoria donor vehicle's four-wheel power disc brakes. The underbody features the aluminum front suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, and fuel tank from a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria P71. The remainder of the chassis is from a Ford F-100. The seller notes this vehicle is not equipped with a parking brake.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller has provided a drive-by video. The vehicle will need to be removed from seller custody within 14 business days unless an agreement is reached otherwise. There is no warranty expressed or implied. The vehicle is available for inspection upon advance notice and arrangements. A wiring manual, instruction sheets, and manuals will come with the purchase of the truck.
