OVERVIEW

This 2003 Chevrolet SSR hardtop convertible pickup has covered 42,587 miles since new and is powered by a Vortec 5300 5.3-liter V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior is finished in the factory-applied red and features fog lights, color-keyed mirror housings, a power-retractable hardtop, a carpeted bed with wood floor strips, and a color-keyed hinged hard tonneau cover. Chips in the hood and scratches on the front end can be seen in the gallery to the right.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 19-inch front and 20-inch silver five-spoke wheels is wrapped in 255/45R19 front and 295/40R20 rear Goodyear Eagle RS-A radial tires. The selling dealer notes that scratches are present on the wheels and the front passenger-side wheel is peeling.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The heated power-adjustable bucket seats are upholstered in black leather. Features include black door panels, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, metallic silver and glossy red accent trim, gray carpeting with black and red rubber floor mats, a black dashboard, a digital AM/FM/CD stereo, and air conditioning. Power features include the mirrors, locks, windows, and hard tonneau cover release.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 140-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 42,587 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate. The last reported mileage of 41,340 was logged in the CARFAX report in August 2021.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a Vortec 5300 5.3-liter V8 and backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. A pre-delivery inspection and an oil and filter change were completed in May 2023.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This SSR was factory-equipped with the ZQ8 Sport Suspension Package, which includes an independent front setup, a five-link solid-axle rear arrangement, and front and rear stabilizer bars. Braking is provided by power discs. Dual exhaust outlets exit at the rear. As the CARFAX report shows, the brake calipers were replaced in May 2023.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This SSR previously appeared on AutoHunter in July 2023, but it is now being relisted at a lower reserve price than before. The CARFAX report starts on November 14, 2003 and shows ownership in South Carolina and Michigan. An accident occurred on July 24, 2013. A second accident that damaged the right side and disabled the vehicle occurred on July 12, 2018. A third accident with minor damage occurred on July 16, 2019 and involved a deer hitting the rear driver-side portion of the vehicle. The selling dealer will charge a $260 documentation fee in addition to the selling price.
