OVERVIEW
This 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle is powered by a 1.6-liter flat-four coupled with a four-speed manual transaxle. It comes equipped with a Grant steering wheel, a Panasonic AM/FM/cassette radio, Nankang tires, and chrome brightwork. Finished in black over a red vinyl interior, this Super Beetle is now offered by the selling dealer with spare parts, a service manual, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The black exterior was refinished under prior ownership and features chrome bumpers, chrome headlight rings, fender-mounted marker lamps, side mirrors, and a single-outlet exhaust system. The selling dealer notes that there is a small dent in the rear driver-side quarter panel; close-up images of exterior blemishes are provided in the carousel to the right.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome 15-inch wheels with VW-branded hub caps are wrapped in 165/80/R15 Nankang CX-668 tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is furnished with red vinyl bucket seats up front, a red vinyl bench in the rear, and black materials for the dash, carpeting, and floor mats. Features include a Grant steering wheel, a wire storage basket, a T-handle shifter, map pockets, and a Panasonic AM/FM/cassette radio connected to a custom carpeted speaker enclosure. The selling dealer has provided photos of tears in the perforated headliner.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The VDO-branded instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer with an inset fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 38,049 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The air-cooled 1.6-liter flat-four was reportedly serviced in 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transaxle.
