OVERVIEW
This restored 1951 Chevrolet 3100 was recently mechanically restored in 2020 with $17,000 invested. It is powered by a new 350cid V8 engine, with a FiTech fuel injection system, backed by a new 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a wood bed floor and side stakes, an AM/FM/cassette radio, and many newly installed mechanical parts. Finished in white over a cream vinyl interior, this Chevrolet 3100 is available now and comes with receipts and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is wearing the reportedly factory-applied finish of white. Features include a chrome front bumper, a body-color grille, a cowl-mounted antenna, dual rear view mirrors, a stepside pickup box with a wood floor and side stakes, and a black rear bumper with a trailer hitch. The seller states that slight rust is present behind the cab.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch aluminum Ultra Motorsports Type 62 wheels is wrapped in P205/70/R15 Pirelli radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat is reportedly upholstered in the original cream vinyl with brown piping. Features include brown door panels with manual windows, manual steering, an aftermarket turn signal assembly, an AM/FM/cassette radio, a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a brown headliner, and cream painted trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 80-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, battery, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. A FiTech fuel-injection system monitor is mounted to the dashboard. The odometer reads 500 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a new 350cid V8 engine, with a FiTech fuel injection system, backed by a new 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, an HEI electronic ignition system, a chrome air cleaner housing, and an aluminum radiator. An oil and filter change was completed six months ago. The receipts for the new engine, transmission, the FiTech fuel injection system, and related parts can be seen in the photos in the carousel to the right.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Chevrolet 3100 is factory-equipped with a solid front axle and a solid rear axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums with a new master cylinder. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include receipts as part of the sale.

@Pacman2 – 350 with 700r4 should do 50 before shifting to 4th gear. My 48 f1 flathead 6 will do 50 with a 3 speed. Sore that isn't TH350? ...
Thanks for the interest. My receipts from the work done a couple of years ago indicate it is the 700R4 transmission.

@Smokybear – I see all the front suspension and steering is still original. Is there any play and what kind of high speed do you drive it? On the rear has the rear end been changed if so do you know it is? I really like you haven’t touched the body. I like them to still look like a farm/work truck. ...
Thank you! Although I do not get the truck up to freeway speeds, I do often traverse the highways (55 mph) and there is no play. The wheels and steering are very tight. The back end is original as far as I know. I purchased it from the original owner and was confident that no adjustment from factory form was done to that point. It is enjoyable to go to car shows with this truck and speak with people who remember driving these as children.

@JeffD53246 – A little bit of rust it looks like. But is the gas pedal broken too? I really like the truck. Just wondering. I live in Portland OR. So it's tough just judging by the pics! Thanks! ...
You are right, the rust is very light and I have considered it to add to the character! There are no body defects of any kind. The gas pedal was replaced at the time of renovation in 2020. Works great. I use this as a work truck, which is why I kept the looks original. Again, it works like a dream.
