OVERVIEW
This restored 1948 Buick Roadmaster Convertible is powered by a Dynaflash 320cid straight-eight backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Power features include the front windows, front seat, and convertible top. Additional features include rear fender skirts, an accessory tissue dispenser, and an AM radio. Finished in Aztec Green and equipped with a beige convertible top over a green leather interior, this Roadmaster comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration completed under previous ownership, the exterior was refinished in the original color of Aztec Green (code 25). Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, dual mirrors, a new beige cloth power convertible top, body-color rear fender skirts, and reverse lights.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black steel wheels with Buick hubcaps and accessory trim rings is wrapped in whitewall bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The power front bench seat and the rear seat have been reupholstered in green leather. Features include power front windows, manual rear windows, manual steering, a column-mounted manual transmission shifter, an AM radio, a GM accessory tissue dispenser, newer green carpeting, and Aztec Green trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, battery, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. A clock is located on the far right of the dashboard. The odometer reads 56,425 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a Dynaflash 320cid straight-eight and backed by a three-speed manual transmission. When new, the engine produced 144 horsepower.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Roadmaster was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A single exhaust outlet exits at the rear.
