This 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 2-door hardtop is equipped with custom wheels, a Thunderbolt style hood, and a new dual exhaust system. It is finished in black over a red vinyl bench seat interior and is powered by a 289ci V8 paired with a C4 3-speed automatic transmission. Located in Annandale, Minnesota, this Fairlane is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean Minnesota title.
The car was professionally repainted in black under prior ownership and equipped with quad headlamps, a chrome grille, and stainless-steel accent trim for the side moldings and window surrounds. An aftermarket hood with a Thunderbolt style scoop and chrome pins was installed, along with finishing the front bumper in satin silver. A new dual exhaust system was installed with polished tips exiting under the rear bumper.
Aftermarket chrome-finished 5-spoke Torque Thrust wheels are equipped. The car is equipped with power steering.
The interior is fitted with red carpeting and red vinyl bench seats which have been reupholstered at one point under prior ownership. The dash is color-matched in red and there are black aftermarket rubber floor mats installed. The door panels feature accenting faux woodgrain trim as well as controls for the manual-crank windows. The trunk is carpeted in gray and contains a space-saver spare tire.
Instrumentation is framed by a 2-spoke red steering wheel and includes a 120-mph speedometer along with a fuel gauge and an analog clock. The vehicle has a 5-digit mechanical odometer, and true mileage is unknown.
The 289ci V8 is finished in the factory-correct Ford engine blue and retains the original air cleaner with a 289 decal. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 3-speed C4 automatic transmission and a column-mounted shift lever.
The trunk is equipped with the original style speckled floor mat and a full-size spare tire with an OEM hubcap
