OVERVIEW
This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe received a frame-off restoration in 2015 under the direction of John’s Corvette Service in Laconia, New Hampshire and is powered by a rebuilt 427cid Turbo-Jet big-block V8 backed by a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission. It has been garage-kept for the last 10 years and comes with body-color removable roof panels, a removable rear window, power steering, power brakes, Rally wheels, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in Monaco Orange over a black vinyl and cloth interior, this C3 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer on a bill of sale with $17,000 in service and rebuild receipts, and transferable New Hampshire registration.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The Monaco Orange (code 990) exterior was refinished during the frame-off restoration in 2015. Features include retractable quad headlights, vented front fenders, rocker moldings, flush door handles, body-color removable roof panels, a driver-side mirror, a removable rear window, an antenna, and split rear bumpers. The seller notes that there are some paint blemishes as shown in the photos to the right.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Rally 15-inch steel wheels with polished center caps are wrapped in 215/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-seat cockpit is furnished with high-back buckets upholstered in black vinyl and cloth, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Features include aftermarket power steering, rubber floor mats, a center console, map pockets, and lap belts. The upholstery has some torn areas as shown in the gallery; the push-button AM radio is nonoperational.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and factory gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. Additionally, auxiliary coolant temperature and oil pressure gauges have been installed on the center stack. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 91,181 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The original L68 V8 with triple carburetors has been replaced with a 427cid Turbo-Jet big-block V8 that was rebuilt in 2015 by High Octane Classics in Auburn, Massachusetts. An oil change was performed in 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The four-wheel disc braking system is power-assisted.
