OVERVIEW

This 2021 Backdraft Racing RT4B Black Edition roadster is a hand-built component car styled after the Shelby Cobra. Power is supplied by a built Ford 427cid V8 equipped with a Holley Terminator fuel injection system and backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Features include the GT Body Option, an adjustable driver’s seat, 18-inch knock-off wheels, power disc brakes, coil-over front struts, and a multi-link rear suspension with coil-overs. The Black-Out Package adds a variety of powder- and ceramic-coated parts, including the wheels and side pipes. Finished in slate blue with black stripes and furnished with a black leather interior, this Cobra recreation comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The optional GT Body is finished in slate blue with black stripes. Features include black powder-coated stainless steel quick jacks, black headlight rings, a removable hood scoop, a black windshield frame, black mirror housings, wind wings, dual black powder-coated roll bars, a black LeMans-style flip-up fuel cap, and quad tail lights with black trim rings.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is fitted with a pair of heated bucket seats upholstered in diamond-stitched black leather. Features include manual steering, a center tunnel-mounted manual transmission shifter with a striped blue shifter ball, a driver’s seat slider, diamond-stitched black vinyl trim, quick-release seat belts, and a dropped foot box to accommodate taller drivers.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A speedometer, 10,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure are located in the carbon fiber dashboard.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a built Ford 427cid V8 equipped with a Holley Terminator fuel injection system and backed by a five-speed manual gearbox. According to the dealer, the engine produces 519 horsepower at the rear wheels. Engine bay features include matte black valve covers, black ceramic-coated headers connected to matching side pipes, and an aluminum radiator with a 16-inch cooling fan.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Cobra replica is equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. The front suspension includes MacPherson-style front coil-over struts with adjustable ride height and firmness. The rear suspension consists of a Ford 8.8-inch differential mounted with a multi-link independent rear suspension system that includes adjustable coil-overs. Braking is provided by power-assisted ventilated 330mm x 28mm front and 315mm x 21mm rear discs.
