OVERVIEW
This custom 1951 Mercury coupe is powered by an LS1 5.7-liter V8 backed by a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air air conditioning, a Chevrolet Nova independent front suspension swap, a chopped top with deleted B-pillars, frenched headlights, flush-fit rear wheel skirts, custom taillights, a Pontiac Trans Am rear end, and other custom body modifications. Finished in Seafoam Pearl and white over a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII tan leather interior, this Mercury comes from the selling dealer with trophies, awards, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is finished in Seafoam Pearl with white accents. Features include chrome bumpers, a custom grille shell with a chrome 1955 Plymouth grille bar, frenched headlights, a shaved hood with rounded corners, dual dummy spotlights, a V-butt windshield, a chopped top with the B-pillars removed, Hirohata Merc-style slide-in quarter windows, and a 1950 Mercury rear window. Additional features include shaved door handles with electric solenoids, shaved original side trim, 1956 Buick side trim, flush-fit rear wheel skirts, a shaved trunk, a shaved fuel filler, and custom taillights.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of polished billet aluminum Colorado Custom Segundo wheels are wrapped in whitewall radial tires. A matching spare is mounted in the trunk.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
Much of the interior, including the door panels, dashboard, center console, tilt steering column, steering wheel, and tan leather seats, was sourced from a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII and modified to fit in this Mercury. Features include power windows and steering, an AM/FM stereo, and a Vintage Air climate control system. The trunk area has been upholstered to match the interior.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Vehicle information is displayed on a 7,000-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The odometer reportedly reads 999 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an LS1 5.7-liter V8 and backed by a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. The smooth firewall, inner fenders, and custom engine cover panels have been finished to match the body. A custom aluminum radiator, fan shroud, electric fan, and coolant overflow container have been installed.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The chassis has been modified to accept a 1970s-era Chevrolet Nova independent front suspension assembly and a Pontiac Trans Am 10-bolt solid rear axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. A custom aluminum fuel tank with a trunk-mounted fuel filler has been installed.

@DAM51 – I would still like to see the car in person but you would have to email me so I can reach out for directions to your facility. I'm not sure how that works but you may have to reach out to autohunter.com. Thanks ...
