OVERVIEW
This 1974 Volkswagen Type 2 Westfalia went through restoration under prior ownership and comes with a pop-up camper top, chrome brightwork, and louvered side windows. The rear passenger compartment has a retro-themed modular design with wooden cabinets and two available beds. Power comes from an air-cooled 1.8-liter flat-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Finished in orange and equipped with a white pop-up camper over a matching plaid cloth and white vinyl interior, this Type 2 is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The orange body is capped off with a white rear-hinged pop-up camper top. Features include chrome bumpers, a roof-mounted luggage rack, side mirrors, and crank-out louvered side windows.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Color-matched steel 14-inch wheels with VW-branded chrome hubcaps are wrapped in 185-width Cooper radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with red and orange plaid cloth and white vinyl bucket seats up front, a plaid bench in the rear, and tri-tone shag carpeting lining the floor and walls. Features include manual-crank windows, a modern radio, and a center console in the front; the modular rear compartment contains wood cabinetry, a power outlet, lap belts, bed cushions, a pop-up ceiling with an additional bunk bed, and a spare tire.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
VDO-branded instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. Additional aftermarket gauges are mounted under the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 28,582 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The air-cooled 1.8-liter flat-four is shown in running and driving condition in the dealer’s video below. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transaxle.

The dealer has provided a video with an exterior walk-around, an interior overview, a look at the engine bay, a start-up, a lighting demonstration, and a drive-by.
