OVERVIEW
This restored 1965 Ford Mustang is powered by a rebuilt 289cid V8 crate motor backed by a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include Vintage Air climate controls, Classic Services Restoration Parts (CSRP) power disc brakes, Borgeson power steering, a rebuilt front suspension, and new chrome. Finished in Medium Blue Metallic and equipped with a new white vinyl convertible top over a new white Pony Deluxe vinyl interior, this Mustang comes from the selling dealer with engine and air conditioning warranties and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the body was finished in Medium Blue Metallic using PPG base coat and clearcoat products. Features include chrome bumpers, GT fog lights, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors with a manual driver-side remote, and a new power white convertible top with a split folding glass rear window, a refurbished frame, and a new pump, cylinders, and lines. The selling dealer states that all of the exterior and interior chrome is new.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of new 15-inch chrome Magnum 500-style wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat have been reupholstered in white Pony-print vinyl. Features include Deluxe door panels with manual windows, Borgeson power steering, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a new Vintage Air under-dash air conditioning unit, an AM/FM/Bluetooth/USB stereo with kick panel speakers and Bose surround sound rear quarter panel speakers, and woodgrain trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 83,775 miles, but the actual mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a rebuilt 289cid V8 crate engine and backed by a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Features in the body-color engine bay include finned aluminum Cobra valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a chrome air cleaner housing, a polished air conditioning compressor, and an aluminum radiator. The selling dealer states that a new air conditioning compressor, dryer, and condenser have been installed.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mustang is equipped with a rebuilt independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by upgraded CSRP power discs. A new fuel tank, new rear shocks, and a Mustang GT-style exhaust system have been installed. The selling dealer states that the floors and undercarriage were sandblasted and professionally refinished.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
A 4-year air conditioning system warranty and a 3rd-party engine warranty will come with the purchase of the vehicle. This vehicle has previously been listed on AutoHunter, and is now being offered at a lower reserve!
