OVERVIEW
This 1970 Volkswagen Beetle received new paint, a new interior, and an upgraded engine as part of a restoration completed in 2021. It is powered by a 1,800cc flat four-cylinder mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include power steering, a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo, and front disc brakes. Finished in red over a gray and black vinyl interior, this garage-kept Volkswagen comes from the selling dealer with restoration photos, additional keys, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration process, the reportedly rust-free body was finished in red. Features include chrome bumpers with bumper guards, a cowl-mounted antenna, and dual rearview mirrors. The selling dealer states that a paint scuff is present on the right front fender and there is a slight dent in the rear bumper.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch chrome Volkswagen wheels with chrome dog dish hubcaps is wrapped in 165R15 radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
As part of the restoration, the front bucket seats and the rear bench seat were reupholstered in gray and black vinyl, and new gray carpeting, door panels, and headliner were installed. Features include manual windows, power steering, a black padded dashboard with red accents, a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo with custom kick panel-mounted speakers, and a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are mounted ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 23,390 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an upgraded 1,800cc flat four-cylinder engine and backed by a four-speed manual transaxle.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Volkswagen was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive transaxle. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. The exhaust system exits at the rear through dual outlets.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The selling dealer charges a $395 documentation fee in addition to the price of the sale. They will include a book of restoration photos and additional keys with the purchase of the vehicle.
