AACA-Winning 1934 Ford 5-Window Coupe

This 1934 Ford Standard 5-Window Coupe was purchased by the seller's grandfather from the original owner's widow in 1963, and it underwent a body-off restoration that was completed in 2012. The car was a multiple winner at several AACA events between 2013 and 2018 before the seller acquired the car on his father's passing in October 2020. Power is provided by the factory 221ci "Flathead" V8, and it is paired with a 3-speed manual gearbox. The only modern upgrade is an electric fuel pump, and a new battery was installed within the past month. This Ford Coupe is offered with its original toolset, various new old stock parts, and a clean Maryland title in the seller's name.

The all-steel body was removed from the frame in preparation for the restoration and did not need any work prior to applying the Dearborn Blue and Black paint per the seller. Gallery photos show the brightwork in close-up.

The car features a single driver-side mirror, hood louvers, a color-matching spare tire cover housing a full-size spare, chrome bumpers front and rear, and a flatter grille than its predecessors.

The interior is trimmed in new angora on the bench seat and door panels, and the dash panel is a dark brown finish. Additionally, the floor is covered with an original style beige rubber mat.

The trio of white gauges complements the gloss black dash. The odometer shows 36,435 miles, only a few of which have been added since the restoration. The glovebox does not stay closed and is currently taped shut, as seen in gallery photos. 

Power is provided by the original 221ci 21-stud Flathead V8, and it is paired with a 3-speed manual gearbox. A new battery installed in the past month or so, and the seller notes that the only modification from stock is the addition of an electric fuel pump.

The original set of tools and a variety of new old stock parts, including spark plugs and an extra generator, will go with the car.
