OVERVIEW
This 1941 Willys three-window coupe restomod build was completed in 2005 and received upgrades including shaved door handles, Weld Racing wheels, power steering and windows, bucket seats, Vintage Air climate control, a Pioneer audio system, a coilover suspension, and power disc brakes. It is powered by a 383cid small-block stroker V8 mated to a TH700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a Ford nine-inch limited-slip rear end. Finished in black over a tan leather interior, this one-off Willys coupe is now offered with build documentation, service records, and a clear title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The black exterior features a chrome grille, dual mirrors, bodyside moldings, shaved door handles, a split rear window, and a chrome rear bumper.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Weld Racing 15-inch wheels with knock-off center caps are wrapped in 165/80 Kumho front and 29" x 15.5" Mickey Thompson rear tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-seat cabin was refurbished to include tan leather buckets with black accents, custom door panels, a black microfiber headliner, and black carpeting. Custom amenities include keyless entry, power windows, a Flaming River tilt steering column, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, power steering, Vintage Air climate control, and an overhead console with a Pioneer Premier AM/FM/CD/MP3 radio connected to four speakers. The trunk is upholstered in tan leather and provides access to the fuel cell.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and supplementary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 2,750 miles, which the seller states is indicative of the mileage accrued on the build.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 383cid small-block stroker V8 was sourced from Jon Barrett Racing Engines and features an Edelbrock carburetor, a March Performance serpentine pulley system, block-hugger headers, and a 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted TH700R4 four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, a B&M torque converter lock-up controller, and a Ford nine-inch 3.73:1 limited-slip rear end. The seller states that a mechanical service and inspections were completed about one year ago.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The body rides on a chrome-finished coilover suspension. Stopping power comes from four-wheel power-assisted disc brakes.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Build documentation and service records will come with the car.
