1979 JEEP CJ-5 3-SPEED

OVERVIEW

This customized 1979 Jeep CJ-5 four-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle has been upgraded with an aftermarket grille, a roll bar, 33-inch Dunlop tires, a modern sound system, and a center console. It is powered by a 258cid inline-six mated to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in blue over a black vinyl interior, this CJ-5 is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The blue exterior shows wear and fading consistent with an older respray. Features include gray removable half-doors, black fender flares, a bumper-mounted jack, chrome headlight rings, a custom grille, a fold-flat windshield, an antenna, dual mirrors, tubular side steps, a roll bar, a rear-mounted spare tire, and a hitch receiver. EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Satin black 15-inch wheels are wrapped in 33" x 12.50" Dunlop Mud Rover radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior is equipped with black vinyl Leon Rosser front bucket seats separated by a center console, a bench in the rear, and black seat belts. Features include a custom steering wheel, an AM/FM/MP3 radio, a heater, cup holders, and a fire extinguisher.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 90-mph speedometer, a column-mounted 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 61,507 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 258cid inline-six breathes via a chrome-finished air cleaner. Power is sent to all four wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

UNDERCARRIAGE
