Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1948 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet received new paint, re-chromed trim, and a new exhaust system as part of a recent restoration. It is powered by a rebuilt 292cid V12 backed by a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission. Features include a spotlight, rear wheel skirts, power windows, and an AM radio. Finished in blue and equipped with a new power tan canvas convertible top over a red leather interior, this Lincoln comes from the selling dealer with the original jack and toolkit and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration, the rust-free body was refinished in the original shade of blue and equipped with re-chromed bumpers, grille, and trim, according to the selling dealer. Features include front driving lights, dual rearview mirrors, an electric spotlight, a new power-folding tan canvas convertible top, rear wheel skirts, and a rear-mounted spare tire with a body-color cover. The selling dealer states that the convertible top does not work and needs to have a new pump installed. We have location of repair shop to rebuild pump and seller will pay the whole rebuild of $500.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch black steel wheels with chrome center caps and trim rings is wrapped in new bias-ply whitewall tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with a red leather front bench seat and a matching rear seat surrounded by red door panels and trim. Features include power windows, manual steering, an AM radio, a heater, and a body-color dashboard.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 110-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage are located ahead of the driver. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a rebuilt 292cid V12 and backed by a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. The new exhaust system exits at the rear.
