This 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL roadster comes with both a factory hardtop as well as a cloth retractable soft top, and it is equipped with a modern audio system, fog lamps, and a newly-serviced air conditioning system. Finished in light blue over a tan vinyl interior, it's powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Located in Gulfport, Mississippi, this R107 350SL is now offered on a clean Mississippi title in the seller’s name.
The car is painted light blue, and it has two available top configurations, including the factory color-matched hardtop as well as a navy-blue cloth top with a plastic rear window. Chrome wheel well arch trim is equipped, and a black rub strip is affixed over the chrome bumpers, both front and rear. The front end is equipped with quad headlamps, a chrome grille with a center emblem, and dual factory fog lamps in the lower front valence.
Factory 14” steel wheels wear full color-matched covers with the Mercedes-Benz logo. They are mounted to near-new 205/70 tires on all four corners. The car is equipped with power steering and power brakes.
The interior is fitted with tan carpeting and tan leather bucket seats with a matching dash and door panels. Dark brown carpeted floor mats protect the carpet in each footwell and are embroidered with the 350SL logo. The air conditioning system has been converted and was recently serviced. An aftermarket audio system has been installed, with dual Pioneer speakers mounted in the panel behind the seats.
Instrumentation is framed by a 4-spoke black steering wheel and includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The 6-digit mechanical odometer reads 145k miles, which are original to the vehicle.
The 4.5-liter M117 V8 is original to the vehicle and was professionally rebuilt at 100k miles. It is equipped with a Bosch mechanical fuel injection system and was cosmetically refreshed as well. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission and a console-mounted shift lever.
The sale includes trophies and other awards from regional various car shows.

The original owner I purchased the car from ... he told me that he just wanted to put it back to factory there was nothing wrong with the motor... and I had the air serviced in April of last year and it has be changed. To the new Freon and I just had it out Monday of this week for about a 10 mile ride and the air was blowing nice and cold with no problems ... if you have anymore questions please let me know
Hi have never owned a MB. But this one caught my attention. One question. Add states engine was rebuilt at 100K miles. Any idea of why it was rebuilt then. Also does the AC blow cold air during the hot summer months? Tks,
