OVERVIEW
This restored two-door 1960 Chevrolet Bel Air reportedly has 47,671 original miles on it and has received several cosmetic and functional upgrades. It is powered by a 355cid V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include power steering, custom 18-inch Ridler wheels, and power front disc brakes. Finished in silver over a gray and black vinyl interior, this Bel Air comes from the selling dealer with the original bill of sale, the original owner’s manual, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the reportedly rust-free body was refinished in silver. Features include chrome bumpers, dual rearview mirrors, and black accent pinstriping.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 18-inch Ridler wheels is wrapped in 245/45 Nitto performance radial tires. The selling dealer states that the wheels can be swapped out if requested.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with a front bench seat and a matching rear seat upholstered in gray and black vinyl surrounded by gray and black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, and an AM/FM radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and other systems are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 47,671 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an aftermarket 355cid V8 and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include aluminum valve covers, an aluminum air cleaner housing, a polished alternator, and a dual-circuit master cylinder. The selling dealer states that all fluids were changed one month ago.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Chevrolet was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear tires.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The dealer will include the original bill of sale and the original owner’s manual as part of the sale.
@Jeffro53 – Is this a reserve auction? ...
yes - this is a reserve auction.
BID: $30,000
Is this a reserve auction?
So all know. We are a full scale custom restoration shop that is capable of making any changes or upgrades to this or any other car. If you really like the car but there are a few to several things you would like to change to suit you after purchase we can make all happen for you!
Guys, I am really at a loss with theses questions. There are 88 real clear photos with a detailed description on the entire car. Again this is an EXTREMELY nice, well restored car where nothing needed was missed. We did not do the full restoration and only perfected it but the photos give a clear indication of what was done along with the overall condition. Yes the car looks at least as nice in person as the photos display. Budcoop-Yes the car cruises 75 mph with no issues. Hotrodbubb- Come on, this is an auction and to tell all what the reserve is defeats the entire purpose. If you really need a hint we are not close. Look around at what is out there and you will find this to be in rare condition. The car is in Chambersburg, Pa. In referance to body or floor panels, again we didn't restore the car so I don't 100% know what sheet metal was all replaced prior to paint but all sheet metal is in FANTASTIC condition! And lastly Beachbum, so you know, a 350 ci bored 30 over is considered a 355ci
What's the reserve? Where is car located? Body or floor sheet metal panel replacements?
BID: $21,000
@BudCoop – Hello, Beautiful car. Will the car cruise at 75mph? any shimmy or drivability problems? ...
Not at all great riding car!
BID: $20,000
Hello, Beautiful car. Will the car cruise at 75mph? any shimmy or drivability problems?
BID: $19,500
@GQCreations – It is a 350 in. 3 bored 30 over. We did not run the numbers or tear engine apart to verify. But it is a solid good running engine with no known issues. That is what we were told when we purchased the vehicle. ...
So, its a 350 bored 30 over. That's a 380. I would just say its a 350 bored 30.
BID: $19,000
@beachbum – Is it a 348 bored to 355. How much is it bored. ...

Yes, rubberized undercoating and the balance in satin black paint- What are the condition and age of each tire?- Excellant, the front are new and the rear has less than 200 miles on them. Condition of glass: any cracks, pits or chips/holes in windshield/rear glass/windows?- All new from front to back What is the condition of the rubber door/window/trunk seals?- New, new, new Any leaks to windows et al?- None known Do all lights work - turns signals, brakes, back-up, parking?- Yes all work Does the horn work?- New Does the front seat adjustment mechanism work?- Yes Do all windows roll all the way down and close tightly?- Yes My understanding was that the 348 cubic inch engine with a horsepower rating of 335 at 5800 rpm was an option available for this vehicle model; this vehicle has a 355 cid. Please explain.- We were told from a reliable seller the engine is a 350 ci bored over. Don't know the horsepower exactly but would guess 300-325 hp Is the transmission original or from a donor vehicle?- No it is an aftermarket doner Thank you. I will say, guys you are completely missing the boat on this one. You will look a real long time to find a 60 Belair close to this nice for the money. It is in FANTASTIC condition with Stellar body, trim and chrome and lots and lots of new parts. This is not your run of the mill project, we have put quite a few miles on this and have had NO issues!
