This 1932 Ford Highboy roadster is a custom build that was assembled by the seller, a professional car builder, over a 3-year period and finished in 2019. Power is provided by a performance-enhanced small block 350ci Chevrolet V8 paired with a Tri Power 5-speed manual transmission. The all-steel Brookville body is set upon a new Ford frame and is finished in black with a magenta cloth top and red wheels, and the interior is trimmed in red vinyl with a Grant steering wheel, a custom gauge trio, and more. This Highboy shows just over 1k miles since the build was completed and is offered with documentation of the work and a clear West Virginia title in the seller’s name.
Black was the color of choice for the all-steel Brookville body and it is complemented by a burgundy cloth soft top. Other exterior features consist of a tubular rear bumper, dual taillamps, and dual exhaust tips.
Top-matching steel wheels with dog dish chrome center caps are wrapped in staggered-width tires.
Red vinyl covers the bench seat and door panels, and a black metal dash and carpet offer contrast. Other features include a Grant steering wheel with tilt, a Lokar hood and trunk release kit, Billet gas pedal, and a black and red trunk with a fire extinguisher.
Instrumentation is displayedwithin a tri-gauge cluster at the dash's center, and it includes an aftermarket speedometer, fuel gauge, and more. The digital odometer reads 1k miles, the total added since the restoration was completed.
Power is provided by a Chevrolet 350ci V8 with a COMP Cams Thumper camshaft, hydraulic lifters, and digital ignition from Summit Racing. Thrust is transferred to the rear wheels by way of a Tri Power 5-speed manual transmission with a Centerforce clutch. Other upgrades and additions include a digital CD ignition, EZ wiring harness, custom aluminum oil pan, transmission and radiator mounts, and a hood hinge/hardware kit.
A 1932 Ford frame with four bar mounts and a 9" Ford 3rd member serves as the foundation for the build, which also consists of a Flaming River steering box, performance coil-over rear suspension, and a complete brake overhaul with front disc brakes and 11" rotors.
Additional gallery photos show a powder coated frame and details of the custom build.Documentation of the build, including parts invoices and accessory information, will go with the car.
