OVERVIEW
This restored 1957 Ford Thunderbird has received several updates including Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, a rebuilt teapot carburetor, a new fuel tank, and a new exhaust system. It is powered by a rebuilt 292cid V8 backed by a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission. Features include rear wheel skirts, power steering, an AM/FM radio, and a dual-circuit master cylinder. Finished in Torch Red and equipped with a new white convertible top over a red and white vinyl interior, this Thunderbird comes from the selling dealer with a removable Colonial White hardtop and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
Originally finished in Willow Green (code J), the body was finished in Torch Red during the restoration process and is equipped with a new white convertible top. Features include chrome bumpers, a hood scoop, dual rearview mirrors, and rear wheel skirts. The selling dealer states the paint on the edge of the hood is chipped. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of chrome Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels is wrapped in new Coker Classic whitewall radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
Originally upholstered in Cumberland Green and Willow Green vinyl (code XM), the cabin is now furnished with a red and white vinyl bench seat surrounded by red vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, and an AM/FM radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 140-mph speedometer, a 5,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 100,724 miles, which the dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The original D-code 312cid V8 has been replaced with a rebuilt 292cid V8, which is backed by a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include finned aluminum valve covers, a rebuilt Holley 4000 teapot carburetor, new fuel and water pumps, new fuel lines, an electric cooling fan, new brake lines, a new battery, and a new dual-circuit master cylinder.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Thunderbird is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by updated and overhauled manual front discs and rear drums. The new dual exhaust system exits through the rear bumper. New front wheel bearings and seals have been installed along with a new fuel tank.

@Ted79 – How is the electrical, lights, and gauges?? ...
Thanks for the question. All the lights and gauges are working. A new main headlamp switch installed last year as the dimmer was weak. High and low beams as well as parking lights all functional. The fuel and temperature gauges all work as does the tachometer. The clock is new, but intentionally disconnected to avoid running down the battery during storage. Oil and Generator “Idiot Lights” work as does the speedometer/odometer.

Thanks for the question.. The car was painted about 10 years ago. Current owner has owned for 9 years and it was completed the year before he purchased .

It's an auction so yes there is a reserve. Disclosing that defeats the purpose of the auction so I can't disclose. Sorry.
