OVERVIEW
This 460-horsepower 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback went through an inside-and-out modification process during which it received a channeled body, 18-inch Boyd Coddington wheels, a Coyote 5.0-liter V8 mated to a TREMEC T-56 six-speed manual transmission, a Scott’s Hotrods ‘n Customs chassis, and a Ridetech coilover suspension. The cabin was also overhauled and includes hand-stitched leather seating, a center console, aluminum accents, and a Memphis Audio system. Finished in white with metallic gray and red striping over an Oxblood Red leather interior, this custom first-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The white body matches the color-keyed bumpers and mirror caps and is accented with metallic gray and red striping. Features include an open-design hood with Ringbrothers hood pins, Kindig-It recessed door handles, louvered sail panels, side-exit exhaust outlets, an aluminum fuel filler cap, Ringbrothers chrome taillight bezels, a rear spoiler, and “Tenacious” decals.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Boyd Coddington 18-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels with polished lips are wrapped in 225/40 front and 315/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cockpit has hand-stitched Oxblood Red leather bucket seats up front, a rear package shelf, and matching treatment for the door panels and the leather-wrapped dash, center console, and transmission tunnel. Features include Digital Guard Dawg keyless entry, push-button start, a leather-wrapped Boyd Coddington steering wheel, a Ringbrothers billet aluminum shift knob, aluminum pedals, a touchscreen Memphis Audio system, a passenger grab-handle, under-dash accent lighting, and a battery cut-off switch.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The odometer shows 310 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The upgraded Coyote 5.0-liter V8 reportedly produces 460 horsepower. Power is transferred to the back wheels via a console-shifted TREMEC T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a Moser nine-inch rear axle.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The body was channeled and rides on a chassis from Scott’s Hotrods ‘n Customs. Handling is assisted by a set of Ridetech coilovers. A hydroboost braking system with Wilwood discs coupled with drilled and slotted rotors provides stopping power.
