This 1972 Datsun 240Z has been collector-owned for the last 18 years and has undergone a partial refurbishment, including a rebuild of the factory 2.4-liter inline-six and an interior refreshment. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission, and equipment consists of a modern CD stereo, custom wheels, and period-correct louvers on the rear hatch. This 240Z is finished in Orange Metallic over a dark red vinyl interior and is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
Orange Metallic (114) paint covering the body is in good condition per the seller, and exterior trim pieces are original. Signature recessed headlamps, a long, sculpted nose, louvers over the rear window, and a single-outlet exhaust tip are featured.
Aftermarket 14” mag wheels are wrapped by 195/70 Negotiator tires of unknown age.
A partially restored interior is trimmed in dark red vinyl with matching door panels, black carpet, and a factor center console with storage. A modern AM/FM/CD head unit is installed in the dash, storage cubbies located behind the seats contain the tools, and a spare tire is housed beneath the carpet.
Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke steering wheel and includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges in the upper dash for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The 5-digit odometer shows under 97k miles stated as accurate per the seller.
Power is provided by a rebuilt L24 2.4-liter inline-six, which produced a factory-rated 151-hp when new, and it is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.
