454-POWERED 1966 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 4-SPEED

OVERVIEW

This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 coupe is powered by a new 454cid V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a big-block hood, amber high beams, power steering, and power front disc brakes. Finished in Classic White and equipped with a black vinyl top over a black vinyl interior, this Chevelle Super Sport comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

Originally finished in Sandalwood Tan (code T) with a painted Cameo Beige roof (code V), the reportedly rust-free body is currently finished in Classic White and equipped with a black vinyl top. Features include chrome bumpers with bumper guards, amber high beams, a big-block hood, wheel opening and rocker moldings, a rear antenna, and a black taillight panel.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch Cragar S/S chrome wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

Originally equipped with a front bench seat upholstered in Medium Fawn and Light Fawn imitation leather (code 709-A), the cabin is currently furnished with a black vinyl front bench seat and a matching rear seat surrounded by black vinyl door panels and body-color metal trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, an AM radio, and a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. A set of three additional gauges for the oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature are located under the dashboard. The odometer reads 600 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a new 454cid V8 and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. According to the selling dealer, the engine produces 475 horsepower. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock chrome air cleaner, a chrome alternator, and an aluminum radiator.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevelle was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
