This 1957 Mercury Montclair is the recipient of a full restoration and has been with the seller for five years. Power is provided by a 368ci V8 with sorted mechanicals and is paired with a Mer-O-Matic push-button automatic transmission. A two-tone black and ivory paint scheme was applied to the body, and the interior has been reupholstered in black vinyl with chrome accents. This Montclair is offered with a clear Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
The body is clad in two-tone ivory and black with chrome bumpers, grille, and headlamp eyebrows. Features include a single driver-side, fender-mounted mirror, split-design rear bumper with integrated brake lamps, and dual chrome exhaust tips.
Factory 14” steel wheels with full covers are wrapped in to wide-whitewall tires.
Inside the cabin is new black vinyl upholstery over black carpet, two-tone door panels with manual window cranks, signature Mercury “deep-dish” two-tone steering wheel and dash, three-tier instrument panel, and passenger-side dash pad. Additional features consist of a below-dash heater and plaid-lined trunk with a factory spare, jack, and tools.
Instrumentation includes a horizontally-displayed 120-mph speedometer along with both factory and auxiliary gauges. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 14,234 miles, though true mileage is unknown.
Inside the matte-black engine bay is a 368ci V8, which is paired with a Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission. Per the seller, a new battery has been installed.

@kktbird – What is that aftermarket thing hanging under the dash? (Hanging crooked BTW). I don't see an AC compressor in the pics. What is it? ...
It is AC. Also power steering and brakes
@HudsonWasp – Love the car, very unique and stylistic. It appears to be pink as I view it, is it just my eyes? Also, I believe the motor is a 312, not a 368. Beautiful car either way. ...
No, it's not your eyes. It does look pink.

@Zohan – This is my understanding of the engine specifications: 368cubic inches, bore = 4 in (101.6 mm) stroke = 3 21⁄32 in (92.9 mm)285–300 hp (213–224 kW)402–415 lb⋅ft (545–563 N⋅m) ...
I like to call it “coral” but my wife calls it pink
@Burbach174 – Is that better? I can look it up but wondering your ideas on that. ...

@kktbird – It is so ugly that its beautiful! ...
Yes, my dad felt the same way. We bought it together 5 years ago. It was his dream car. He passed away a year ago and I have become its steward. I hate to part with it but it may be time. Good luck with the bidding!
