This 1972 Plymouth Barracuda is a custom build featuring a 550-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V8, 8-speed automatic transmission, customized interior, and numerous performance upgrades. Dodge Destroyer Gray paint with custom graphics was applied over a shaved and de-badged body, illumination is all LED, and the car rides on staggered-width Bridgestone Potenza tires over 18" Foose Satin black wheels. A custom interior boasts black diamond-stitched leather, all new headliner, and carpet, a "double-din" Bluetooth- and WiFi-enabled infotainment system with navigation, back-up camera, a Holley digital dash, and 8k tachometer, and air conditioning. Handling is managed by Wilwood Hydro-boost power brakes, rack and pinion steering, a modern 4-link suspension, a strengthened subframe, and more. This 'Cuda is offered with a remote entry fob, aftermarket accessory literature, and a clear Tennessee title in the seller's name.
Dodge Destroyer Grey 2K urethane paint and custom strobe stripe graphics cloak the de-badged and shaved body with narrowed nose and a Demon-style modified Dart Hemi hood. Other modifications include LED lighting and a modern front valance. The frame, trunk, and floor pans are noted to be original to this Texas-based car.
The Challenger rolls on 18" Satin black 2K Foose wheels wrapped in 18"x8" front and 18"x9.5" rear tires. Deceleration is provided by Wilwood slotted and vented power disc brakes paired with a new master cylinder and Hydro-boost brake booster.
The restored and modified interior is trimmed in custom black leather with white diamond stitching, a 2016 Dodge Challenger console, slap stick shifter, a racing harness, new carpet, sound matting, headliner, and door panels. Other features consist of new tinted glass, including the windshield, replacement weatherstripping, and a custom-trimmed trunk with a battery box and cutoff switch.
Modern upgrades include a double din stereo head unit with back-up camera, navigation, Bluetooth, and WiFi paired with four Kicker speakers, a Holley digital dash with GPS speed, a Holley 8k tachometer, and climate control with air conditioning.
Power comes from a 16k-mile 2016 6.4-liter Hemi with new bearings, rings, cam phasers, and timing chains. Engine upgrades include a Holley Sniper intake, a Holley Terminator X Max ECU featuring electronic transmission control, drive-by-wire throttle body control, and four programmable inputs and outputs, COMP cams no-spring high lift cam, TTi Performance 2" ceramic-coated headers, a Hellcat throttle body; MSD coil packs, Accel injectors, MDS delete, a Melling high-volume oil pump, aluminum radiator with electric fans, and an ATI super damper. Power is directed to the rear wheels through a 6k-mile 2018 TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic with PCS transmission control, which features regular, sport, and track modes, and a Currie Ford 9" Truetrac rear end with 3.89:1 gearing.
Handling is managed by power rack and pinion steering from Flaming River, upper and lower control arms, an Addco 1" sway bar, a Ridetech 4-link suspension, an AJE tubular K-member, and Viking double-adjustable coil-overs. Stability is increased by a tied subframe and front and rear torque boxes.
A key fob with remote and documentation for the aftermarket accessories will go with the car. Multiple videos are available for viewing below.
