Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This modified 1995 AM General M1025A2 four-wheel-drive pickup is powered by a rebuilt, M998-sourced 6.5-liter diesel V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Upgrades include a powder-coated grille, LED lighting, 38-inch Interco Super Swamper tires, and a sound system with a subwoofer. Finished in a custom black camouflage wrap over a black and camouflage vinyl interior, this HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) is now offered with a clear title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The four-door exterior has a ghost-style black camouflage wrap. Features include LED front and rear lighting, a brush guard, a powder-coated grille, tow recovery hooks, newer windshield wipers, side mirrors, and a circular roof opening with a removable camouflage shade. The seller notes the presence of minimal rust around the body.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

The MOD 17-inch aluminum wheels with beadlocks are wrapped in 38-inch Interco Super Swamper TSL SX tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior of the two-row cab is fitted with waterproof black and camouflage vinyl captain’s chairs for all four passengers, matched to the door panels, dash, center console, and carpeting. Features include LED lighting, tinted power windows, power door locks, an OMP Racing steering wheel, a train horn, military ammunition storage cases with cup holders, a backup camera, an audio system with a subwoofer, air conditioning, and Rhino Linings flooring material.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a 60-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads about 1,600 miles. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The M998-sourced naturally aspirated 6.5-liter diesel V8 was rebuilt within the last 1,500 miles; an oil service was completed in September 2023. Work performed over the seller’s ownership within the last four years includes replacing the batteries, fuel pump, glow plugs, starter, power steering pump, and muffler. Output is channeled to all four wheels via a console-shifted four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping power comes from newer four-wheel inboard disc brakes. Chassis work under the seller’s ownership included the replacement of the tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, and stabilizer bar.

Does it have all 4 doors? I understand the circular hole to be from a terret “sunroof”…is that correct? Was it used in the military? Is the sunroof cover waterproof? Is it freely titled and transferable to any state? Thanks!
