OVERVIEW
This two-owner 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL has received approximately $40,000 in exterior, interior, engine, transmission, suspension, and braking system updates since 2014. It is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include power windows and locks, power steering, a driver-side airbag, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo with a remote, air conditioning, and power disc brakes. Finished in dark blue and equipped with a new black convertible top over a reupholstered black leather interior, this R107 SL comes from the selling dealer with a removable hardtop, service records, the removed original radio, an accident-free CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free body was refinished in dark blue in 2014. Features include chrome bumpers with black trim, mid-body impact trim, a new black cloth convertible top, and a power antenna. The selling dealer states that an imperfection is present near the passenger-side quarter panel. A walk-around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch chrome alloy wheels is wrapped in 205/65 Michelin Premier A/S radial tires that have accrued less than 400 miles.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
According to the selling dealer, the black leather upholstery, woodgrain trim, carpeting, and gauges are new. Features include power windows and locks, power steering, a driver-side airbag, cruise control, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo with a remote, and air conditioning, which the selling dealer states was overhauled.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 170-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel economy are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 52,013 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate. The last reported mileage of 52,069 was logged on the CARFAX report in November 2023; an odometer problem was noted in November 2013.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a fuel-injected 5.5-liter V8 and backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. The selling dealer states the top end of the engine was replaced less than 500 miles ago.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mercedes was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power discs. The exhaust system exits at the rear through dual tips. A front-end alignment has been performed and new shocks have been installed. The gearbox, steering box, suspension bushings, and brakes have been serviced.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report starts in March 1987 and shows an accident-free history with ownership in Illinois, Florida, and California. The dealer will include a removable hardtop, service records, and the removed original radio as part of the sale.

What was original color?
Can you show a pick of the spare tire area!
All power items are working. All electrical items are working a light signal's horn as well as AC. Being converted and also blowing cold, I have extensive records on the car, including a complete top and rebuild with timing chain guides and valve job being done in the last five hundred miles.
Beautiful Vehicle, good buy if everything works.
Do all switches work properly and as intended? Windows /locks ? Al interior lighting ? How about the A/c - said it was worked on …. Does the system blow ice cold - conversely … the heater work correctly? Radio…speakers/sound etc… any trim pieces cracked or missing? Floor mats? Also - how many keys come with the car? Books ? Records? Literature? Lots of nittpicky stuff I know but it all adds/detracts from value and not so easy to source. Depending on the replies and condition report - this could go much higher . Thx
Beautiful car- does A/C work well in the summer?
