OVERVIEW
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe restomod has been driven 591 miles since being restored and receives power from a 383cid stroker V8 backed by an FTI Performance 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. It comes from California ownership and is equipped with fog lamps, a spoiler, staggered-diameter Rally wheels, a TMI interior, factory air conditioning, power disc brakes, and a QA1 suspension. Finished in Dover White and accented with red striping over a red vinyl interior, this first-generation Camaro is now offered by the selling dealer with build receipts, paperwork, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free body received a fresh coat of Dover White (code 50) paint and red accent striping during the restoration process. Exterior features include fog lamps, re-chromed original bumpers, 383 fender badging, SS front and rear emblems, dual side mirrors, rocker moldings, and a rear spoiler.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Rally-style chrome 18-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels with Chevrolet Motor Division center caps are wrapped in redline radial ires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cockpit was refurbished during the restoration with a kit from TMI Products. Furnishings include red vinyl bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching colors for the door panels, dash, suede-like microfiber headliner, carpeting, and rubber floor mats. The cabin is accented with woodgrain trim and features tinted manual-crank windows, lap belts, a passenger-side grab handle, and factory air conditioning. The trunk is both carpeted and vinyl-lined.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 591 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The crate-sourced 383cid stroker V8 has been blueprinted and rated at 430 horsepower. Upgrades include a Painless Performance wiring harness, new fuel lines, and a custom driveshaft. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted FTI Performance 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end with 4.11:1 gearing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping comes from power disc brakes with newer lines as well as drilled and slotted rotors. The chassis has been upgraded with a QA1 Level 2 tubular suspension. The selling dealer's underbody photos show the routing of a custom dual exhaust system.
