OVERVIEW
This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette has received a restoration completed by the family that has owned the car since 1982. It is powered by a custom-built 355cid V8 backed by the rebuilt original T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Features include a dual four-barrel carburetor intake manifold, Hooker headers, an MSD electronic ignition, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in white with gray coves and equipped with a manual white vinyl convertible top over a newer red vinyl interior, this garage-kept Corvette comes with spare parts and a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Corvette was purchased by the current owner’s father in 1982 after it was hit on the passenger side. The collision reportedly damaged only the fiberglass body and not the chassis. The body is currently finished in a hand-rubbed, 21-coat Ditzler white acrylic paint job with gray coves. Features include chrome bumpers, a driver-side rearview mirror, a manual white vinyl convertible top, and rear bumper-exit exhaust outlets. All of the chrome was re-plated during the restoration. The seller states that the soft top is in good condition because it was almost never used. The car has never been rained on and has been driven about 8-10 hours per year to car shows under the seller's ownership. A walk-around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black 15-inch steel wheels with full hubcaps is wrapped in BFGoodrich tires that were installed in 2021.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with red vinyl bucket seats, red vinyl door panels, and red trim from Corvette America. Features include manual windows and steering, a center console-mounted manual transmission shifter, and a vintage-look AM/FM radio with an aftermarket speaker.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 150-mph speedometer, a retrofitted Stewart Warner Stage III tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. A clock is located in the center console. The seller states that the speedometer and odometer are not functioning. The odometer reads 2,000 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 355cid V8 that was custom-built by a performance shop in 1991 and backed by the reportedly original, blueprinted, and rebuilt T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a dual-carburetor intake manifold, dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors, chrome air cleaner housings, Dart cast iron 2.02 heads that have been ported and polished, COMP Cams 1.6 roller rockers, Manley Performance valves, a Crane 292 camshaft, a double-roller timing chain and gear, an MSD electronic ignition system with a Blaster 2 coil, a PerTronix Flame-Thrower rotor replacement, an Accel distributor cap, a Holley fuel pump, Hooker headers, and a forged crank, rods, and pistons. The valve springs were backed off each winter and the lash was redone every season. According to the seller, the engine generates 435 horsepower and has accrued approximately 236 hours since it was built.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Corvette is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with Positraction and 4.11:1 gears.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
A spare steering column, door, and set of steel wheels will come with the purchase of the car.

Reserve is removed. Some very lucky bidder is getting an amazing car! In 41 years this car has only been driven by 2 people. Me and my father. Who will be the next driver?
BID: $71,000
This car is everything you see in the photos and more. When you hear it and feel it in a 6000RPM trip through the gears, there is nothing like it.
Thank you all for the interest in this amazing car over the last week. I hope whoever comes out on top enjoys it as much as our family has for the last 41 years!!

Who did the welding on the exhaust system? If this is a high caliber car, that should be addressed for the potential buyer.
@Jordan – Beautiful car there.. great contrast! Love me some red interior 👌🏼 ...
Thank you! The color scheme matched that of my father’s first corvette that he bought right out of high school 1960. See photo w my mother in 1962.

@Cblaine – Does the car need anything? ...
No. She doesn’t need anything. Cars like this just need general upkeep and to be driven. This car needs a good home to love it and enjoy it for the next 41 years.
