OVERVIEW
This 1970 Dodge Coronet 500 reportedly underwent a $115,000 restoration completed in 2019. It is powered by an upgraded 440cid V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a Ramcharger hood, power steering, bucket seats, and a center console with a Hurst pistol-grip shifter. Finished in Hemi Orange and equipped with a black vinyl top over a black vinyl interior, this Dodge comes from the selling dealer with original build sheets, restoration receipts, an owner's manual, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Dodge was originally finished in Dark Green Metallic (code F8) with a Green vinyl top (code V1F). During the restoration process, this reportedly rust-free Coronet was repainted Hemi Orange. Features include chrome bumpers, fender-mounted turn signal indicators, R/T emblems, a Ramcharger hood scoops with 440 emblems, chrome mirror caps with a manual driver-side remote, side scoops, wheel opening moldings, black Bumblebee striping, and a black taillight panel. INTERIOR – FEATURES
Originally equipped with Green vinyl bucket seats (code D6F8), the cabin is now finished with black vinyl front bucket seats and a matching rear seat surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a center console-mounted Hurst pistol-grip shifter, an AM/FM radio, and woodgrain accents.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The Rallye Instrument Panel Cluster includes a 150-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer with a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, temperature, oil pressure, and alternator. Additional gauges for the oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted under the ashtray. The odometer reads 6,377 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
This Coronet 500 was originally equipped with a 230-horsepower, two-barrel 318cid V8 (E44) backed by a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission (code D31). Power is now provided by a 440cid V8 and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a Ramcharger air intake assembly, tube exhaust headers with a high-temperature coating, an MSD electronic ignition system, and an electric fan.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Dodge is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with 3.55:1 gears. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
