OVERVIEW
This restored 1926 Ford T-Bucket is powered by a Chrysler 318cid V8 that has been bored to displace 400 cubic inches and connected to a TorqueFlite 904 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a tilt steering column, power steering, a dropped tube front axle, and front disc brakes. Finished in red and black over a gray vinyl interior, this customized Model T comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The red and black exterior features a body-color radiator shell, an open engine compartment, a custom windshield frame, a rear turtle deck with a hinged trunk lid, and custom teardrop taillights. The seller states that a custom windshield frame was recently built, but the glass for it will need to be cut and installed. Additionally, the taillights need to be wired up.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 14-inch front and 15-inch rear Weld Rodlite aluminum wheels is wrapped in 6.95-14 bias-ply front tires and 31" x 16.50" Hoosier rear radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with a gray vinyl bench seat surrounded by gray vinyl door panels and trim. Features include a tilt steering column, power steering, and a floor-mounted Lokar automatic transmission shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 140-mph speedometer, a 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver in an aluminum panel. The odometer shows 157 miles, which reflects the mileage accrued since this build was completed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a Chrysler 318cid V8 that has been bored to displace 400 cubic inches and is backed by a TorqueFlite 904 three-speed automatic transmission. The open engine bay features a polished aluminum firewall, Edelbrock chrome valve covers, a Weiand aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a Mr. Gasket Street Scoop air intake, and side-exit tube exhaust headers.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The custom box tube chassis features a dropped solid front axle and a solid rear drive axle mounted with a four-link setup and coilovers. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. The seller states that a slight fade can be felt when applying the brakes, which may need adjusting or replacement.
