OVERVIEW

This 2001 Ford Mustang GT convertible has been driven 60,420 miles since new and received upgrades earlier in life from Steeda Performance Vehicles. Power comes from a nitrous oxide-enhanced Modular 4.6-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a body kit, a lightbar, a spoiler, chrome wheels, an Alpine touchscreen audio system, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Finished in Oxford White Clearcoat and equipped with a tan cloth power-retractable top over a Medium Parchment leather interior, this New Edge Mustang GT is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear title in the seller’s name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The Oxford White Clearcoat exterior has contrasting black accents on the chin spoiler, decklid, and trunk spoiler as well as a power-operated tan soft top with a heated glass rear window. Features include a body kit, a hood scoop with inset GT badging, fender-mounted side marker lamps, a lightbar, a polished aluminum fuel cap, aftermarket taillights, and a dual exhaust system.

Mustang Cobra-style five-spoke chrome wheels have been added.  

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin offers Medium Parchment leather bucket seats up front; the rear seat has been deleted. Part of the space left by the removal of the rear seat is occupied by a nitrous oxide bottle. Features include Mustang seatback embroidery, power windows, power locks, power steering, cruise control, air conditioning, an Alpine touchscreen audio system, and dual illuminated visor mirrors. Wear is visible on the upholstery and trim.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

White-faced instrumentation is framed by a metallic bezel and includes a 150-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The odometer reads 60,420 miles, which lines up with the most recent figure of 60,409 miles recorded on the CARFAX report in 2023.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The Modular 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 260 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque when new. It has since been upgraded by Steeda and comes equipped with a cold-air intake, a nitrous oxide system, and other modifications. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping power comes from four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
