OVERVIEW
This 1971 GMC Sprint is powered by the rebuilt original 402cid big-block V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a tilt steering column, factory air conditioning, power steering, and power front disc brakes. Finished in olive green and dark green and equipped with a black vinyl top over an olive green vinyl interior, this Sprint comes with the Protect-O-Plate, original warranty paperwork, an owner’s manual, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free body has been refinished in olive green and dark green, and is equipped with a black vinyl top. Features include chrome bumpers, a nonfunctional cowl induction-style domed hood, hood pins, a dark green hood stripe, wheel opening moldings, dual rearview mirrors, and a dark green tailgate panel.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust aluminum wheels is wrapped in 245/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cab is furnished with an olive green vinyl bench seat surrounded by olive green vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a tilt steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, air conditioning, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. No radio is present.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights are located ahead of the driver. The rolled-over odometer reads 26,660 miles, which equates to 126,660 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by the reportedly original 402cid big-block V8. The engine has accrued less than 100 miles since being rebuilt and is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, and a chrome air cleaner housing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Sprint was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits behind the rear tires.
