OVERVIEW
This 1968 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible is powered by a rebuilt Commando 383cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power windows and steering, a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo, and power brakes. Finished in blue and equipped with a power black vinyl convertible top over a two-tone blue cloth and vinyl interior, this Plymouth comes from the selling dealer with a convertible top boot and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free body has been refinished in blue and is equipped with a power black vinyl convertible top with a plastic rear window. Features include chrome bumpers, fender-mounted turn signal indicators, a fender-mounted power antenna, dual rearview mirrors with a manual driver-side remote, and rear body trim.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of five-spoke polished aluminum wheels is wrapped in radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with newer aftermarket two-tone blue cloth and vinyl upholstery for the buddy bucket-style front seats and rear seat as well as newer two-tone blue vinyl and cloth door panels. Features include power windows and steering, a steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and a custom center console-mounted Sony AM/FM/CD stereo.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the coolant temperature, fuel level, and alternator. According to the selling dealer, the odometer reads 96,693 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a rebuilt non-original Commando 383cid V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The selling dealer states that the engine has logged 1,000 miles since being rebuilt. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a four-barrel carburetor, and a chrome air cleaner housing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Plymouth was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is power-assisted. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
