Vehicle Story

This 1959 Chevrolet El Camino is a fully-restored first-year example powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. It was the recipient of a professional body-off restoration, and equipment includes power steering, wide-whitewall tires, and custom embroidered floor mats. This El Camino is finished in Cameo Coral over a two-tone gray interior and and offered with a custom cover, the original radio, and a clear Missouri title in the seller’s name.

A custom Cameo Coral respray was applied as part of the restoration, and it is set off by extensive chrome accents and white trim along the midline. Paint, glass, rubber, and chrome are in excellent condition per the seller, and photos show only a scratch on the driver’s door and a chip on the driver-side quarter panel.

Color-matching factory 14” steel wheels wear chrome caps and are wrapped in 7.50x14 wide-whitewall tires. Handling is managed by way of power steering.

The interior is trimmed in gray two-tone vinyl and cloth with matching door panels and black carpet. Embroidered El Camino floor mats are fitted in the footwells and the original but inoperative Straight Line Tuning radio is included with the sale.

Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level, and warning lights for voltage and oil pressure. The 5-digit odometer reads approximately 45k miles, which is accurate per the seller, true mileage is unknown. The wiper motor is new but not currently working.

The 283ci V8 is original to the vehicle per the seller, and it is equipped with a Rochester 2-barrel carburetor and paired with a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.

The sale includes a custom car cover, original radio, touch-up paint, and not-yet-installed new seat belts.
