OVERVIEW
The restoration on this 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 was completed in 2018 using all original parts, according to the seller. It is powered by a rebuilt 2F 4.2-liter I6 mated to a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission and a rebuilt dual-range transfer case. Features include a digital AM/FM radio, air conditioning, power steering, folding rear jump seats, and power brakes. Finished in brown and equipped with a tan canvas removable top over a gray vinyl interior, this Land Cruiser comes with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the body was finished in a Toyota shade of brown. Features include silver bumpers, front fog lights, a folding front windshield, dual rearview mirrors, a removable tan canvas top with roll-up side windows, side-hinged rear doors, and a rear-mounted spare tire. The seller states that a small bubble of rust is present near the wipers.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 16-inch steel wheels with chrome dog dish hub caps and manual locking front hubs is wrapped in Roadcruza RA1100 all-terrain radial tires that were installed new in 2022.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with a gray vinyl 60/40-split folding front bench seat and matching folding rear jump seats surrounded by gray door panels and brown metal trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a digital AM/FM radio, air conditioning, floor-mounted manual transmission and transfer case shifters, and a black vinyl floor covering.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 160-km/h (99-mph) speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. With 25 miles added during the seller's 14-month ownership, the odometer reads 4,200 kilometers (approximately 2,609 miles), which the seller reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 2F 4.2-liter I6 and backed by a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, all of which have reportedly been rebuilt. An oil change was completed in November 2022.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This FJ43 was factory-equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear drive axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. Braking is power-assisted.

This Land Cruiser was sold at auction in 2021 through Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas. It's been my experience that junk doesn't go through Barrett-Jackson.

@Thunderegg – Was this 43 imported? If so what was the origin country? Did you restore or was it professional? Images of the restoration process? ...
Fj43s were never sold in the United States so yes it was imported. From what country I do not know. The restoration was done in 2018 4 years before I acquired it. I do not have any records of the restoration. But it looks very fine.
