This matching-numbers 1967 Buick GS 400 convertible is 1 of 2,140 GS 400 convertibles produced and was the recipient of a full body-off restoration and mechanical rebuild. Power comes from a 400ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, and features include a Star Wars air cleaner, Rallye wheels, and re-chromed bumpers. This GS 400 is finished in Burgundy Metallic with a reupholstered matching convertible top and is offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The rust-free original body was professionally repainted Burgundy Metallic, the bumpers were re-chromed, and a new light burgundy canvas convertible top with window was installed. The weather stripping, door sills, windshield, and window seals are also new according to the seller.
Factory 14” Rallye wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs, and the car has power steering.
The interior is trimmed in new black vinyl with matching black dash, door panels, and carpet protected by embroidered floor mats up front. A center console with chrome trim splits the center of the cabin, and the spare tire and jack equipment are housed in the matte black trunk.
Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke steering wheel and consists of a 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and an analog clock. The 5-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 96k miles, though true mileage is unknown.
The matching-numbers 400ci V8 has been driven 50 miles since the rebuild and was factory-rated at 340-hp and 440 lb-ft of torque when new. A factory Star Wars air cleaner is fitted and power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission.
Additional restoration and underside photos are available in the gallery.

Mr. Hutchinson—What kind of fuel do you run in the car? Will it run on unleaded or does it require an additive or something else? Thank you. Mike
