@bachldrs – Moss Motors offers the filler piece (#457-980) that goes under the tail-lamps when converting from rubber- to chrome-bumpers. They could still be installed but requiring some welding, filling, and repainting. ’Tis a shame these weren’t used in the first place. Looks like a lovely paint job. Perhaps the same body shop could be engaged to make these corrections. I don’t know of any similar pieces to correct the parking lamp openings in front, but a skilled welder could make those openings look “old” again ;-) Perhaps they could be cut out of scrap front wings. from a parts car. Otherwise, a very nicely done car. I like the interior and the detailing in the engine bay. Question, outside of the Weber downdraft, what’s been done to make this engine run more like, say, a 1967 MGB? These late engines were silky smooth but sacrificed about a third of their old 97 hp due to antiquated naïve 1970s attempts to control emissions. Even 97 doesn’t sound very robust these days, but in a light-weight MGB, it was plenty - enough to get you into some serious trouble if you wished. Otherwise, I could wish for an overdrive - but that can be done rather quickly. ...
Thanks for your comments. The chrome bumper conversion excluded the filler, for some reason. Not a big deal. Cheap at Moss Motors if the buyer wishes to do it. Runs great for an 1800 cc engine, no need to get in trouble, although you could if you wanted to. I save that for the 70s big block corvettes. This car is a pleasure to cruise around back country roads with the hood down, runs smooth and steady.

You’re welcome. Nope, stays covered and inside during Pa winters on a battery tender. It never saw rain, snow or salt.
